Court Report Output
The court report gathers the result of a comparison, and how that result was reached, into a single PDF document. It is written in enough detail to be attached to an expert witness report and to let the method be retraced if the other side objects. It costs nothing extra; it is included in the comparison's $0.40 in credits.

| Limitations | Constraints specific to this comparison, such as image quality, number of references and time gap. |
The last page holds the report's own SHA-256 digest and a verification address. Entering the report id there lets anyone check that the document was produced by Incapon and has not been altered since.
Request the Report
Send report=true when you create the comparison. If you forgot the field, no problem: for every completed comparison the report can also be produced later, as long as the retention period has not run out. The report language is chosen with the report_language field (tr or en).
Download the PDF
The report is ready when the signature.compared event arrives. The GET /v2.4/signature/comparisons/{id}/report endpoint returns application/pdf.

Set the Retention Period
Images and the report are kept for 90 days by default. The period can be changed per team under Settings β Signature API, anywhere from 1 to 3650 days. When it runs out, the images are deleted irreversibly; the score, the feature matrix and the file digests remain as an audit record. To delete a comparison before then, a DELETE /v2.4/signature/comparisons/{id} call is enough.
Court cases often last longer than the retention period. Archive the report in your own document management system once downloaded; the verification address keeps verifying the report digest even after the images are deleted.
