Detector
Watch a page, decide when it has actually changed, and tell the right people.
Detector fetches a page on a schedule, compares it against the last accepted snapshot and notifies you when the difference is big enough to matter. It is built for the pages that have no feed and no API: competitor pricing, supplier terms, regulatory notices, job boards.
What it is good at
- Pages that change rarely and matter a lot when they do.
- Pages behind a layout that changes constantly — carousels, ad slots and "related" rails are filtered out before anything is compared.
- Comparing a specific region rather than a whole page, once you narrow it with a selector.
What it is not
It is not a scraper. It tells you that something moved and shows you what, but it does not extract structured records on a schedule. If that is what you need, describe it on the request board — it is a different tool.
